Leads

Leads (/crm/leads) is a simple sales pipeline. Each lead is a customer or prospect you're working on, with where it came from and an estimated value. Leads sit on a board in five columns (New, Contacted, Qualified, Won, and Lost), and each column shows how many leads it holds and their total value.

Where to find it

Customers → Leads in the sidebar.

Leads appears when your store's Vertical pack is Default, Apparel, Auto / RV, or Jewelry. The vertical pack is set under Setup → Store profile.

Add a lead

  1. Click New lead.
  2. Choose who the lead is:
    • Existing customer: pick them from the list.
    • New customer: enter a First name and, optionally, a Last name, Company, and Email. They're added to your customers along with the lead.
  3. Optionally, enter a Source (such as Walk-in, Referral, or Website) and an Estimated value.
  4. Choose the Stage. It starts at New.
  5. Click Create lead.

Each card on the board shows the company (or the person's name if there's no company) and the lead's estimated value.

Move a lead along

  1. On the lead's card, click the menu.
  2. Under Move to, choose the new stage.

Keep leads that closed in Won or Lost as a record of how each one ended.

Delete a lead

  1. On the lead's card, click the menu and choose Delete.
  2. Confirm.

Deleting a lead doesn't delete the customer.

Common questions

Q. Why don't I see Leads in the sidebar? A. Either your store's Vertical pack doesn't include Leads (for example, Hardware or Restaurant), or your role can't view customers. Check Setup → Store profile, or ask an owner or admin.

Q. Can I change a lead's value or source later? A. The board only changes a lead's stage. To change the value or source, delete the lead and add it again.

Q. Does moving a lead to Won create a sale? A. No. Ring up the sale at the counter, or write the customer a B2B quote first.
